May 25 - 27, 2007
INTRODUCTION:
At UNIBOA’S 17th National Convention scheduled to be held in woonsocket, Rhode Island, from May 25 - 27, 2007, we invite you to join us to recommit ourselves to UNIBOA and Liberia, provide us with an essential reflective time in which we celebrate our commitment to our organization, our beloved homeland, Liberia and come forth with effective mechanism through which we can promote the building of a new UNIBOA and a new Liberia.
As a free association of Liberian citizens, we recognize the need to be active participants in the development of our homeland and maintain our cultural ties with our people. We are deeply conscious of the need for unity in order to identify resources, promote long and short term development programs and set forth the interests we hold in common. Therefore, UNIBOA, through advocacy, public education and networking speaks the African experience and identifies resources to rebuild the Bassa counties.
It is through our National Conventions that we are able to raise enough funds for most of our projects and programs. The main fundraising events during the National Conventions are the Queen Contest, Annual Raffle Drawing, Annual Banquet & Ball. This year, 2007, to improve our fund raising for more needed fund, we are adding Liberia's #1 music maker, Mr. Sundaygar Dearboy to entertain us, our guests and patrons. Mr. Sundaygai Dearboy will perform all of his hit songs and more, on Saturday, May 26th. Mr. Sundaygar Deearboy will also be the center of attraction as he headlines as guest Artist to climax UNIBOA's convention on Sunday, May 27. The two major attractions: Saturday Extravaganza, Sundaygar Dearboy in Concert ($15.00 members and $25 non-members) and a Formal Dinner Banquet - $30 (non-members).
On Sunday, the Keynote Speaker is the Rev. Dr. Bishop John G. Innis of Liberia who will deliver the Conventional message on the process of building a successful nation.
