Distinguish Guests,
Ladies and gentlemen,

I am deeply honored by the opportunity to be here. Mr. President, I look forward to working with you in our shared determination to unite as a team to join the struggle with our people for the upliftment and the improvement of their social, economic and educational conditions.

I truly embrace the optimistic view that we, as a group of people, owe our existence and welfare to one another. It is on that principle that the United Bassa Organization, under my leadership continues on its mission to improve the social welfare our people in Liberia and within our communities in the Diaspora.

We are all here because of the compassion and commitment we share. We are also here because of our dreams to bring relief to the suffering, to bring healing to the ills, to bring joy to the broken spirits, and above that, to provide needed assistance and education to the orphanages and disadvantaged.

According to UN recent report, more than three quarters of the population of Liberia lives on less than a dollar per day and unemployment rate is as high as 85 per cent. It is further reported, that his is the first time in our history, that the adult literacy population has surpassed the youth. In other words, we have more educated older Liberians than young Liberians.

As your leader, I am determined to work harder to advance and promote the mission of UNIBOA. I have the commitment, passion, and humility to serve the Member UNIBOA well. With your continue support, I am prepared and determined to achieve results. I am sure we have the power to do so. We just need to be very skillful in our planning and priority setting, and insightful in our actions.

The upcoming convention in Philadelphia will allow you the opportunity to have an audience with your officials, the decisions makers and leaders of our counties.

To you, Mr. President, the officers and members of ‘A-Moh-Bedo’, Let us continue to work vigorously, with our eyes on the goals, our ears open to the voices of our people, and our heart committed to the mission of our organization. Thank you.
