Monrovia, Liberia: The Home Affairs Chairman of the United Bassa Organization of America has re-emphasized his organization's support to Liberia's recovery program. He said that UNIBOA promises of being part of Liberia's post war recovery.

Mr. Toman Gboyah on George Weah run King's FM in Monrovia recently said he was happy to be back after twenty seven years of stay in the United States.

“The reconstruction, rehabilitation and gradual progress a country like war-torn Liberia is, is one that is worth commending”, he said.

Appearing with Mr. Gboyah on the radio show was Rep. Jeh Byron Browne of electoral District #3, Grand Bassa County.

Rep. Browne lamented the needs of his people from education, poverty, infrastructural development to health care. Mr. Gboyah promises UNIBOA's continuous support to the Bassa counties which they all see as a priority following the war.

He said UNIBOA is currently paying full tuition and stipends for several students at the Mother Pattern College of Health Sciences for the sole purpose of contributing their quota back home following graduation.

He further said that UNIBOA has been supportive to the sea erosion victims in Buchanan through a donation of $3,000.00 USD amongst other programs. Mr. Gboyah revealed that UNIBOA plans and prepared to open an office in Liberia and implement projects for the Bassa region.

Since his arrival, the Home Affairs Boss for UNIBOA has begun holding talks with Bassa counties' legislators, administration of the Catholic run Mother Pattern College of Health Sciences, student groups and other stakeholders, etc.

Listeners of the radio show appreciated UNIBOA's efforts and hope that other groups in the Diaspora will emulate similar example in giving helping hands to their people in Liberia.
