Woonsocket, Rhode Island May 27, 2007. The United Bassa Organization under the stewardship of Mr. Joseph D. Sinyan held its Annual National Queen Contest during the 17th National Convention in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites. Miss Dell Ottoh, Miss Rhode Island captured the national crown. Miss Dell, the daughter of Etta Roberts, joins UNIBOA royalty by having the highest amount raised during the three rounds of the competition.

The other courageous and beautiful women who took part in the contest with the same goal to raise the most money were chapter queens from Washington D.C., North Jersey, South Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Minnesota.

There were no personal interviews, promenade, and talent show, but the moment of desire and the quest of fame to be Miss UNIBOA 2007, which will raise needed money for UNIBOA’s projects and programs. Also present were enthusiasm, encouragement, and the eagerness among the delegates from the local chapters of UNIBOA, supporters, patrons, and guests to see the convention achieves this goal.

At the end of the competition, the President, Mr. Joseph Sinyan congratulated the winner and expressed his thanks and appreciations to all the contestants and their supporters for such a wonderful showing and the support of UNIBOA as whole. Miss Dell, the new Miss UNIBOA-2007 was crowned and sashed by the National Chairman of the Board, Mrs. Mydea Reeves-Karpeh. The occasion was climaxed by the performance of Sundaygar Dearboy and Dinner/Dance.
