Welcome to UNIBOA

Delegates at the 28th National Convention in Burlington NJ

UNIBOA’s mission is to engage in social, humanitarian and community development work in order to meet the needs of all Bassonians residing in the Americas and the homeland.

The Vision is to create a stronger network and linkage between Bassonians in the Diaspora and homeland. This is evidenced through our services and since its inception; the organization has served and continue to serve as one of the Leading Liberian Diaspora organizations in the United States.

The organization operates on the following five guiding principles:

  • Promoting peace, unity, progress, and social awareness among the people of the Bassa Counties in the Americas and Liberia
  • Maintaining and retaining our cultural and traditional heritage and values;
  • Assisting with specific development projects through finance and manpower;
  • Helping to improve the quality of education and health care;
  • Serving as a forum for the exchange of views among the people of the Bassa counties

In order to achieve our goals, we have embarked on a number of important programs both in  Liberia and the United States. Our programs are geared towards improving the lives of our people.
